VDZ System has created a specialized towing set for the new SCANIA S-Series model, starting from 2017. Unlike the previous SCANIA R-series, the S-Series chassis does not feature towing points, requiring an innovative solution for secure towing.
The new VDZ set includes a machine-processed adapter with high tensile strength. The adapter is mounted on each side of the chassis, attaching to the certified original SCANIA mounting point with three 12.9 hexagon socket screws. A crossbar reinforcement bracket is also provided, strengthening the two anchor points.
This VDZ towing set is designed for winching operations where a single anchor point is insufficient. It includes two adapters, 12.9 hexagon screws, a crossbar mounting set, and a detailed installation drawing. The correct torque settings for the mounting bolts are provided with each set. This set can be combined with the standard 24-piece base set for a wide range of trucks.
