VDZ expanded its reach to Japan after being approached by Jyonan Factory, a Falkom dealer. Jyonan Factory, known for manufacturing recovery trucks, saw the potential of VDZ’s systems and planned to offer them as an option for its customers.

VDZ in Japan and Asia

The Japanese market has seen a notable increase in the presence of European brands, with SCANIA and VOLVO leading the way in the transport and recovery industries. These brands are highly regarded for their durability, advanced technology, and performance, which has made them popular among Japanese transport companies.

"According to Johan van der Zand, companies in Japan rely on these European models for highly specialized tasks, including the transportation of ISUZU trucks destined for the European market."

This growing demand for European vehicles reflects the increasing globalization of the transport sector, where Japanese companies aim to meet international standards and requirements. By relying on trusted European brands, these companies are able to enhance their service offerings, improve operational efficiency, and stay competitive in the global marketplace.

To further this collaboration, VDZ Hefsystemen designed in 2019 custom adapters to fit the ISUZU chassis. These adapters were tested in partnership with Joh. Van der Zand, and after successful trials, Jyonan Factory became an official VDZ dealer in Japan, ready to offer these systems to the local market.
